Crowdfunding isn’t just something we do—it’s part of who we are. When our company faced a legal battle that threatened to shut us down, Angel investors stepped in, raising $10 million to help us survive. That support didn’t just save us—it shaped us.
From the beginning, crowdfunding has fueled many of our most beloved projects, including The Wingfeather Saga , Tuttle Twins , The Shift , David , and The Riot and the Dance. Just as people once crowdfunded the Statue of Liberty’s torch, Angel investors have helped bring powerful stories to audiences worldwide.
Today, crowdfunding is not just used to fund projects but to invite the community into the success of our shows. Our name itself—Angel—honors the fans who believed in us when it mattered most. You saved our company. And together, we’re building a future where audiences decide what stories get told.
History of Angel
2012
While brainstorming about the endless customization made possible by the internet, Neal, Daniel, and Jeffrey Harmon asked themselves why there wasn’t a way to skip “that one scene” in movies where their mother used to reach for the remote. That night, Neal wrote software to skip violent boxing scenes and mute offensive language while streaming Cinderella Man. Later, they watched the movie together as a family to teach his oldest son about honesty.

Submitting a Project to Angel
Are you a filmmaker with a project that amplifies light? We’re seeking concept videos (Torches) and completed films or series that are true, honest, noble, just, authentic, lovely, admirable, and excellent. Whether your project is newly created or already licensed, if it aligns with our mission, follow these steps to submit.
1. Submit Your Project
You’ll submit details about your project, its current stage of production, a video file, and the application fee.
2. Guild Voting
The Guild will vote on your project and decide if it meets the requirements for Angel partnership.
3. Angel Review
Once you pass the Guild, we'll consider your project for a potential partnership with Angel.
4. Distribution
We’ll work with Angel Funding to start raising the capital to fund the production.
